Making a Puppet

Do you know your Muffin the Mule from your Chucky?
Your Jim Henson from your Fluck and Law?
Do you want to make a puppet yourself?

This site is dedicated to the world of puppetry, from our furry childhood friends to the nasties lurking in the shadows. Within these pages you will meet various creations of my own making, brought into being from hunks of foam, reams of cloth and rivers of glue - to name but a few of the life-giving ingredients.

Elsewhere on the site you will find a detailed look at the art of puppetry on British television, beginning with its origins in the depths of history, before moving on through the ages to the early years of puppets on Watch With Mother, the mayhem of The Muppet Show, the exciting adventures of Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds and the satirical edge of Spitting Image.

And I try to answer the question - are puppets truly a medium simply for kids?
